Planning a Cooking Experience with Your Child
Does your child know:
- Where food comes from?
- About Kitchen safety?
- What the different food groups are?
- What herbs and spices are?
- Why some foods are sweet and some are sour?
- How to follow directions in a recipe?
- Different units of measurement - solids & liquids?
- How to safely use Kitchen tools & Cooking utensils?
- That FOOD is FUN and cooking is CREATIVE
Each class will focus on a main ingredient, what varieties there may be, where it comes from and how it can be cooked in different ways.
We may also read an educational story about the main ingredient and do a related art or science project.
